Harare is getting a poor name, and unjustly so, more glamorous than most other Southern African capitals. Although it's definitely not without its problems, overall, it's a healthy and laid-back town where broad avenues are lined with dusty red soil, and indigenous plants and blooming jacarandas provide it a stunning African summertime feel.
Although Harare has accepted some great cuisines from around the world, including Chinese, Ethiopian and Italian cuisine, it'd be a shame to own come all this fashion and not have anything local. the simplest traditional eatery and the most well-liked is Gava's.

Driving around Harare city with a rental car can be a problem but not impossible. It's a nice way to get around but we advise you to look at the laws of local traffic because they can differ from what you're used to doing. Bear in mind that traffic can be thick in rush hour, so it can take longer to reach your destination.

We were happy with the vehicle and the service was fast and friendly on both ends of the hire. The price was high but that's the Zimbabwe for you. I'd use them again.
